If you earn income that isn’t subject to withholding, the IRS requires quarterly estimated tax payments. To help you stay compliant, here’s a quick guide to paying federal estimated taxes online.

- Visit the IRS Payment Page
Go to irs.gov/payments and click Make a Payment. - Choose Your Payment Type
Select Estimated Tax as the reason for payment.
Choose Form 1040-ES and the current tax year. - Verify Your Identity
Confirm your identity using details from a prior-year tax return. - Enter Payment Information
Input your bank routing and account number, then enter the amount for the quarter.
