Christian Tolosa BAcc, EA
Senior Accountant
With a diverse background spanning accounting, business management, and tax strategy, Christian Tolosa brings a hands-on approach to helping clients navigate their financial goals. His experience in both corporate environments and small business operations gives him a unique perspective on the challenges business owners face.
Christian’s career path started in the hospitality industry, where he worked his way up to General Manager while completing his accounting studies. His passion for tax and finance was inspired by his family’s journey as immigrant entrepreneurs, motivating him to help others succeed in their own ventures.
Christian holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Glendale Community College and is an Enrolled Agent. He specializes in tax planning and compliance for restaurants and online retail businesses, as well as helping entrepreneurs structure their businesses for financial success.
Based in Los Angeles, Christian provides a wide range of tax services, including personal and business tax preparation, entity formation, bookkeeping, payroll, and advisory services. His client-focused philosophy is built on trust, transparency, and a deep understanding of each client’s unique goals.
Outside of work, Christian is an avid combat sports enthusiast and trains in MMA at Aragon Training Academy in Pasadena. A lifelong Lakers and Dodgers fan, he still remembers the exact moment he became a Lakers fan—Derek Fisher’s legendary 0.4-second shot in 2004. He lives in Eagle Rock with his wife and their dog, Kobe, a loyal German Shepherd-Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been by his side since he was six weeks old.
Daniel Hagen MSF, EA
Senior Accountant / International Tax Specialist
With over a decade of experience in finance and accounting, Daniel Hagen specializes in international tax compliance and strategic tax planning. His clientele includes individuals and businesses across the U.S. and abroad, with a strong focus on navigating the complexities of cross-border taxation, particularly within the Australian-U.S. tax treaty framework.
Daniel’s in-depth knowledge of tax law, coupled with his meticulous approach to financial structuring, has led to strong results and long-term relationships with his clients. His expertise spans personal and business tax preparation, international tax reporting, entity structuring, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax advisory services.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Finance (with honors) and is an Enrolled Agent, a designation that allows him to represent taxpayers before the IRS. His career has been defined by a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and staying ahead of ever-evolving tax regulations to ensure the best outcomes for his clients.
Originally from Norway, Daniel played competitive ice hockey for the national team before shifting his focus to finance and taxation. An avid snowboarder, he enjoys hitting the slopes whenever possible—though tax season often keeps him off the mountains during prime snowboarding months. Now based in Los Angeles, he takes full advantage of the sunshine, often found at the beach or hiking on weekends with his family and great dane.
With a background spanning mortgage broking, finance, and tax preparation, Chaniiz Johnson brings a well-rounded approach to accounting. As a first-generation college graduate, she built her career by combining hands-on experience with a strong academic foundation, ultimately finding her passion for tax through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
Before joining Accru Group, Chaniiz worked in home loan financing, guiding clients through complex financial decisions and credit planning. Her ability to break down financial concepts into clear, actionable steps is a key strength that continues to benefit her tax clients.
Chaniiz specializes in personal and business tax preparation and is particularly interested in helping entrepreneurs and professionals in the entertainment industry navigate their tax obligations. She is currently working toward becoming an Enrolled Agent to expand her expertise.
Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, Chaniiz recently returned to her hometown to raise her daughter close to family. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with her loyal rescue dog, Gabby. Her philosophy is rooted in kindness and authenticity, ensuring that every client feels understood and empowered in their financial journey.
